About Us
You decide what is important. NewsLadder gives everyone a vote.
Together, we decide what is newsworthy and what is not. Together, we make sure that we are focused on what is important. Together, we make the news.
Every day, readers from all over the world bring news here. The news moves up or down depending on what we think is important - nothing more and most assuredly -nothing less.
We share stories, idea, videos, and thoughts from the most powerful political revolution of our time; the Progressive Online Community. The community is growing every day and has better thinking, better ideas, better calls to action, and better advocacy than any other political force in the country.
NewsLadder celebrates the community. We embrace it. We aim to drive traffic to websites that are working to make our country a better place. We share our profits with our communities. We work for them. We appreciate everything they do for us and for our country.
We invite you to join our community. To put news on the Ladder. To vote news up and down. To comment and become part of the process. We welcome you and appreciate your help.
How It Works
Sign up and submit what you think is important. Submit a blog post, a video, a newspaper article, a t.v. spot, literally anything you can link to, you can put on the Ladder, comment on, and submit as news.
“What’s New” is the latest news on the Ladder.
“What’s Up” is the news that is moving up the Ladder and that you think is important.
“Editors’ Choice” shows the top-ranked items that our editors have chosen. Our editors are some of the top bloggers from around the country and all their recommendations are transparent. They are here to help.
To post a story, simply go to the Post a Story button. Once there, enter a URL, title, and any tags the story may have. If the post is a video, please check the box marked video description. Next, enter in a brief story description. Type in the characters you see at the bottom of the page, click Create and you are all set!
To rate a story, click on the plus or minus buttons to the left of the story. As you rate stories, they will move up or down the NewsLadder depending on what you and other NewsLadder users think.
To comment on a story, click on the comments link below the story. Enter in your comments and then click Save.
Search for top stories by subject by clicking on the words in the tag cloud on the home page. For example, clicking on “Iraq” will take you to all the NewsLadder stories about Iraq. It’s another way to see what’s happening with the issues that matter most to you.
