NewsLadder was started by James Boyce as a virtual community board for progressive communities and states. While the site and concept has been in development for the past several months, Burma.Newsladder is the first NewsLadder to launch and we are fixing issues and improving it every single day.

What's important about NewsLadder is we get to decide what the news is, and what matters. We bring it all together and share it with each other. We link to the important news and together, we will make our voices heard.

TO JOIN THE BURMA NEWSLADDER

On the home page, just click on "Sign In" and it takes less than a minute to register.

TO SUBMIT A STORY

There are two ways to submit a story. Either click on "SUBMIT A STORY" on the home page and you will be asked for the url for the story you are interested in submitting; it could be a blog post, newspaper article, video, anything you can link to, you can submit. You also will be asked to title the link and add tags to it. You can also add the first comment to the chain.

You can not vote your own story up or down; you can only comment on it.

TO VOTE A STORY UP THE LADDER.

To vote a story up the ladder, you have two choices. WHEN SIGNED IN, you can simply click the plus or minus sign to the left of the story title and your vote will be counted. You can also click on the "Recommends" which also allows you to write a comment with your recommendation.

TO COMMENT ON A STORY.

Just click on comments WHEN SIGNED IN, and add your comment.
